JUST THE BLUES BABY...

I'm not sure if the blues is truth or are truth, but one thing for sure is Malkum Gibson got the blues and got them good. Malkum is one of today's best harp players whose lyrical phrasing and unique style set him apart from the pack.

Things started into motion musically for Malkum in 1970 when, along with his partner Chris Kleeman, B. B. King produced his first album, Just the Blues. Malkum has recorded several radio commercials and appeared as a guest artist on five CDs for various recording artists. He has performed with such great blues artists as Matt Murphy, Buddy Guy, Mary Flower and Commander Cody.

For the last ten years Malkum has been quite a road warrior with the nationally-acclaimed music and dance company, Rhythm In Shoes. This has allowed him to expand his horizons in music and performance art.

From the festival stage to concert halls all across the country, Malkum leaves his audiences with a glow of excitement for the blues. His music will move you like no other.
